Initial itinerary of the project « Frogs On Wheels » – 2014-2018
Why ? To always let us the choice and the time to think about what has been accomplished, what has to be done, to constantly question ourselves and not to make this trip a struggle. We have time and want to live depending on the seasons, the people we meet and the countries we explore.
EUROPE (April – November 2014)
We started from France and left Lorient, Nicolas’ hometown, on April, 14th 2014. We have reached Ankara, Turkey after 7 months of travel through 13 countries : France, Switzerland, Austria, Czech Republic, Slovakia, Hungary, Serbia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Montenegro, Albania, Greece and Turkey.
Weare planning to stay and travel through Turkey during the winter 2014-2015, so that we can keep riding towards Asia with better weather and temperatures.
ASIA (March 2015 – June 2016)
We will leave Turkey around March 2015, towards Asia, where we will ride through 15 countries: Georgia, Armenia, Iran, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, China, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore and Indonesia.
The deadline to reach Australia is fixed on June 2016, in order to enter the country with a work-holiday visa.
OCEANIA (July 2016 – April 2017)
During almost a year, we will enjoy our visas to review the situation on our journey through South America. Meanwhile we will work to balance the budget and of course we will discover Australia, New Zealand and the surroundings islands.
SOUTH AMERICA (May 2017 – April 2018)
Departure for South America might be planned in May 2017, in order to ride during warmer seasons through 7 countries. We will start from Colombia to the « end of the world », Ushuaia/Argentina, through Ecuador, Peru, Bolivia and Chile. We will then ride northbound to Uruguay.
AND THEN, WHAT’S NEXT ?
We know that we will have to go back one day or another. We will probably return to Europe by boat from Uruguay and why not through North Africa, but until then, we have the time to look ahead and think about it more detailly !!
